Do not know what the shank length is on the carriage bolts I am using. The 80/20 standard connector has a 21/64 hole diameter and my DIY connectors have a 11/32' diameter hole.
I just spent some time looking closely at the connections using a carriage bolt with the standard 1/4' thick 80/20 angle connector or a 3/16' DIY connectors that I made for my build.
